I recently listened to Chessa and it's amazing.

Signed on the New York-based label 12k, Shuttle 358, also known as Dan Abrams, is a composer of deeply moving ambient music/glitch/experimental electronica.

here's a link to Chessa:

He's no big deal, just the best music creator ever.

Here's Frame: http://extensivemusi...ttle-358-frame/

Pretty much every track on Optimal.LP, Frame, and Chessa is amazing and just teeming with the goodness and richness of life. I will upload Optimal.LP to Giraffe Kingdom soon. The album Understanding Wildlife also has seriously great material but is perhaps a level below the other three.

He's making a new album with Taylor Deupree right now for 12K records.

Agrajag doesn't post on this board.

What's an agrajag? is that like some kinda fucked up jaguar? Heard pretty cool guy, not afraid of any alien ant farm (not making fun, actually serious, awesome goodness, just sounded like a good thing to say.).

good ______ music

fill in the blank, anything goes in there, except maybe exercise.

Shuttle 358 has served me well during:
drawing
smoking
making out
sleeping
thinking
deep intent listening - as Brian Eno's quote about ambient music goes: "Ambient Music must be able to accommodate many levels of listening attention without enforcing one in particular; it must be as ignorable as it is interesting." - there's plenty to analyze and dive into in this music but it's also perfect for the background.

Man, I was listening to "Gone" from Optimal.LP for the first time and suddenly yelled "OOF!! YES!" out loud. Wonderful.
