there's also sorts of timeless rappers and albums regardless of Kendrick Lamar being one, or having one or not

Also, since when does a feature entail two verses and the main artist just has the chorus and the bridge?

Shouldn't Taylor Swift be the "feature" here?

I was going to get all swoll and say KRS never did that shit

But apparently he did.  R.E.M. & Blondie.

Tho IMO kinda more flavored collabs.  Plus I doubt either had a multimillion dollar payout or that he did either for those reasons.

I'm sure his solo album is good though, just have a hard time fully backing someone who's clearly just putting out shit for big $

And I would agree with that comment, lots of rappers make an amazing album but aren't always consistent.

There's a select few though that are consistent start to finish, D.I.T.C. & its members come to mind.

mewithoutYou have a new album Pale Horses in early June

Feels like their last album just came out.

Time flies, etc.  Think it has only been a year though.

Was pretty disappointed with it initially but I listen to that album a lot.

Kendrick?  Practically his entire album (TPAB) is about the importance of not allowing money/celebrity to control you...

Yet he guest spots with arguably the most known/lucrative pop celebrity there is

dude is just telling people what they want to hear

or maybe he wanted to get close

couldn't really blame him

The new Prurient album made me want to kill myself this morning so I suppose it accomplishes what it sets out to do.

classic example of a timeless hiphop/rap album for me would be Ice Cube's The Predator
