today marks 25 years since columbine, are we desensitized to violence now? is it ok to glorify school shootings? has shooting up children become retro?

i remember when the dead kennedys wrote their post-columbine tribute song "i kill children" and how tipster gore was mad outraged, why aren't we seeing that outrage today?

i am not going to post too much because i am curious about everybody's opinion

the video below is a prime example about how we no longer get offended about sex and violence and the exploited

here we have a columbine matrix-esque cutie flashing her guns and shooting shit up all over a warehouse, is this going to inspire the next generation of trendy cuties to murder their peers?

Just type in "columbine meme" to any image search and you get stuff like this:

We saw three teens shoot up an Aussie. There seems to be some outrage over this:

In Today's world we get music videos to compliment our national tragedies:

I don't know..you tell me....here is some info about a song on the followup album released in '93

"Glorified G" is an anti-gun song with lyrics mocking gun enthusiasts. The song was inspired by an incident in which drummer Dave Abbruzzese told the band he had just bought two guns which sparked a conversation about guns within the band.

Vocalist Eddie Vedder about "Glorified G":

I didn't actually write that song...I was at a band rehearsal and just started writing down these things the guys were talking about. The band were having this conversation and I just took down the dialogue. One of the band members had just bought a gun. It was the drummer, actually. Ask him about it.[5]

Abbruzzese about "Glorified G":

I told our manager that I just bought a coupla guns and he told Jeff, and at rehearsal Jeff kinda blurted it out. And Eddie went, 'Whaaaat, you bought a GUN?' And I said, 'In fact, I bought two,' which ended up as the opening line of the song. I think it's fair to say Eddie was pretty outraged.[5]

Got a gun, fact I got two
That's ok man, cuz I love god
Glorified version of a pellet gun
Feels so manly, when armed

Glorified version of a pellet gun

Don't think, dumb is strength
Never shot at a living thing
Glorified version of a pellet gun
Feels so manly, when armed

Glorified version of a pellet gun

Always keep it loaded

Kindred to be an American...

Life comes...I can feel your heart...
Life comes...I can feel your heart through your neck...
Life comes...I can feel your heart through your neck...
Like some...I can steal your heart from your neck...

Glorified...glorified...

I dont' think it is meant to be deep...the tone of the music should make that pretty obvious...it is a fun, sarcastic, & catchy song
