how many years of the thunder being overrated garbage now? six? give me a break i can't handle how mad you are right now guy. is enes kanter the savior now real game changer there
I'd say they've probably been overrated since the Harden trade, but they're certainly capable of mowing down any opponent if they're having a good night.
Thunder have arguably two of the top 5 players in the association. Without a doubt, two of the top 10.
Injuries have killed them since the Harden trade.
2013: Westbrook out with torn miniscus in 1st Round, OKC loses to Memphis in the 2nd round.
2014: Westbrook has two more knee surgeries, KD earns MVP. OKC ends up losing WCF to Spurs (eventual champion) after Ibaka hamstring injury from previous series.
2015: OKC misses playoffs after having the worst injury plauge since the ABA/NBA merger, Westbrook gets 5th place MVP votes. OKC gets 14th overall lottery pick. Scott Brooks fired, replaced by Billy Donovan.
Every playoff team in the West except the Warriors had significant injury woes this past season. If the Cavs didn't lose either Irving or Love, the Warriors might not be holding the trophy.
