Yesterday, PSV qualified for Europa League football by beating Shakhtyor Soligorsk.

Had been a dreadful game until the 89th minute, with the opponent doing nothing but defend. It was thanks to part of their supporters, who made "jungle" noises at Memphis Depay and the other brown/black players of PSV, that something finally happened.

Depay paid them back with two goals in two minutes:

So that makes 8 goals and 3 assists in Depay's 6 matches so far this season.

Goddamnit I really wanted Spurs to sign him.

2nd Leg games of UEFA Champions League Quarterfinals today....figured this might be as good a time as any to revive this thread.

the only prediction I can be confident is Barcelona over PSG.

Luiz's afro must be worth is $70,000,000 since his defense isn't worth shit.

Most any striker in the world is capable of making it painfully obvious that Luiz can't play center back.

It is pretty sad.

A winner like Gerrard deserved a better-managed team than this Liverpool.

One day until i see whether Newcastle manage to complete their fuckup of a season by snatching relegation on the last day of the season. At the moment, they're the worst premier league team I've ever seen.

haha nice

but what Liverpool really needs is a striker

they also need to sell Rahem Sterling ASAP....he is worth a lot of money right now for some reason(i guess cuz he can run fast?)...sell him before everyone else realizes he isn't worth a shit

Raping the Premier League this coming season.

I'm pretty sure United will win it.

I'm not so sure about that...I'd love to see United to win it though

still a lot of question marks on that roster....should they keep Di Maria and see if he pans out? what about Van Persie? a lot of money between those 2 guys

they definitely need to find another defensive midfielder

If there is one player that I enjoyed watching more than any other this past season it was Fellaini...I had no idea he was so versatile...it was fun to watch him given a more offensive role...a truly unique player

did anyone see this? fucking hilarious

They should keep Di Maria. I think they will. United tend to be less fickle about players that don't initially appear to work out for them.

Fellaini is one example. But if Di Maria doesn't deliver next season either, then he'll be ditched. Figures.

Van Persie will stick around too. He'll link up well with Depay.

I don't really see Falcao returning to Old Trafford though.

not a chance in hell...i heard Chelsea is where he may end up

i hope his injury hasn't done him in....he was a great player that was fun to watch....also fun to watch him watch his own goals

Well, another season coming up for PSV.

We've lost Depay and Wijnaldum, but got over 50 million € for them, so that's nice.

Bought a bunch of new guys.

Gáston Pereiro (winger/attacking midfielder/striker). Uruguay's biggest young talent. Took a lot of hassling and haggling, but PSV finally got him signed last week.

Maxime Lestienne (winger). Belgian (supposed) enfant terrible. We're having him on loan for a season, with an option to buy. Let's see if he and/or Pereiro can fill the Depay-shaped gap.

Davy Pröpper (midfield). Excellent young Dutch midfielder. Got him off Vitesse.
This was him today, in the friendly vs Monaco:

There's also talk of Afellay coming back. I just don't know exactly where he'd fit in..

Liverpool struck gold by getting Milner on a free. Can't wait to see him and Benteke suit up this weekend.  This team is definitely underrated this season.

Going to my third OKC Energy game next week. Having a local pro team helps get into the sport, even if it's the minor league.

I think the Miguel Herrera story about how he got fired is hilarious: http://www.espnfc.us...r-alleged-fight

The Mexico Football Federation voted on Tuesday to sack coach Miguel Herrera following an alleged incident that took place at Philadelphia International Airport.

...

Mexican television commentator Christian Martinoli on Monday accused Herrera of assaulting him in the TSA line at the airport, despite denials from airport officials that any such incident was captured on security cameras.

The incident allegedly occurred the morning after Mexico beat Jamaica 3-1 on Sunday to win the Gold Cup at Lincoln Financial Field.

TV Azteca's Martinoli, who has been one of Herrera's strongest critics, said the Mexico coach hit him in the neck with his fist before being separated by fellow commentator and former Mexico player Luis Garcia.

Can't believe it, Umbi, but we're through. We're through!

PSV survived the group phase of the Champions League and we're among the remaining 16, for the first time in a decade.

Probably playing vs Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern München next, so enjoying this ride while it lasts...
