Don't they play Kansas City or Rangers games there?

I would pick the Rangers if that was the case.

that map is interesting. i wonder if it's based on any real polls. i'd think reds country would be a bit more widespread.

yeah knort, the teams who broadcast here the most are the Rangers on Fox Sports Oklahoma, and White Sox/Cubs on WGN.

Cardinals, Cubs, Yankees, and Red Sox easily have the biggest national fan bases. Cardinals are on Fox all the time and the Cubs are broadcasted nationally. The last two make no logical sense since you can only see them every now and then on ESPN, but bandwagoners never make sense.

They were boring as fuck last year because they couldn't hit with RISP to save their lives

I'd much rather watch them than a Sox telecast though.

10 minutes of Hawk Harrelson talking about how great every individual White Sox player is and how supportive the 8,000 White Sox fans in attendance are (At a home game). Then he'll spend 25 minutes reviewing a Strike 2 call on 'Paulie' Konerko that he thinks the umpire got wrong. Joe Mauer hits a grand slam, the whole time he shouts "GET FOUL." When it never gets foul he sits in silence for 2 minutes. He then starts bitching about the strike 2 call on Paul Konerko 4 innings earlier.

Occasional guest appearances: Ozzie Guillen and Kenny Williams discussing the rats they saw in the Wrigley Field batting cages once.

This is very true.

I just enjoy a team that's more focused on winning.

The White Sox are a team with a lot of fire power in a home run friendly park

The problem is, if the home runs aren't there, they lose. They should have a pretty decent year, better than the Cubs (If not, they fucked up), but I don't see them as a legit WS contender. And it's been that year for a few years now.

The big problem with the Cubs is that all of their money is tied up in guys like Alfonso Soriano and Aramis Ramirez so they are forced to keep them despite how streaky they both are. They are either impossible to get out or a hole in the lineup depending on what week it is, and when those are your core offensive players, you're in trouble.

I wouldn't trust Dusty, especially with your pitchers

aside from a few minor issues, our pitchers have been fine since he got here. he hasn't been pushing them too hard, like he's supposedly known for. he may or may not have ruined kerry wood and mark prior, but everything's good here. in fact, travis wood is now a 3rd of the way to a perfect game.

edit: jinxed it. 11 in a row to start the game, though. not too bad.

imo baseball and football (soccer (U.S.)) are really the only two major sports you shouldn't feel somewhat embarrassed for following
