X'ed Out by Tera Melos, this band is so consistently fucking good.  i'm about to go to a party and they always give me good vibes beforehand, so that i'm not too awkward or in my own world to interact when i'm around a bunch of people.  i wonder if they'll always have a niche audience like Deerhoof, which would be a shame . . . another band that has, since, what, consistently been putting out excellent music.  just noticed that the last song on X'ed Out is in 13/8 hah

i already posted about it in the Albums 2014 thread but Current 93's new album I Am the Last of All the Field that Fell: A Channel is really fucking top-notch.  Current 93 hasn't ever really embraced jazz so much as they do on this album.  great features too, by Nick Cave, Antony, John Zorn, some others . . .
