The 002/3 series are basically worthless right now, which sucks. Thankfully the upgrade from 8LE to PT9 is just 250 bucks.

I guess it is kind of a kick in the face who bought all that exclusive Pro Tools-compatible equipment. I still would love to have an 002 to run with a Pro Tools rig, though.

Meh, it's not like I bought a TDM system for ADC or anything. It's not that expensive.

Anyone tried it yet? I can't afford studio stuff now that I have to pay for all this guitar related gear, but I'm selling my iMac to get a new MBP, so I was wondering if I should just upgrade while I was at it. Does the Team AiR Waves stuff work with PT9?

still waiting to afford this myself, especially since my recording rig is still running xp. a friend of mine has it and is constantly raving (positively) about it though.

im afraid to do the crack, because i have services that i get through avid because i actually bought the software that i don't want to lose. I can't afford the crossgrade. Im also worried that my plugins might get fucked up if i download the crack.

what to do...

I'm done with warez. I just love to get the support, upgrades and whatnot when I need it.

thinking about buying PT9 for my work now that i'm trying to freelance. can any of you guys tell me if you can customise key commands? older versions always forced you to use the protools shortcuts and it really gets my goat. can work so much faster with my own keys. never got a chance to try it out much.

You can't. The whole point is that any PT user can work on any system because every studio will have the same shortcuts. I used to have my own stuff as well, but I just bought a Pro Tools labeled keyboard. Took me a week to get used to, after that I stopped thinking about it.

uhg that's so stupid. all they have to do is set those as the default and allow people to import their own. nm, probably end up getting it anyway. i've been working professionally for years on nuendo and i'm so used to working with my commands. have to be able to work so fast sometimes.

I guess, never really thought about it. I've just gotten used to it. I switch back between Nuendo and Pro Tools every day. The only thing I mess up at times is the zoom in/zoom out buttons.
