Is Tyondai's solo stuff just loops and beeps?

Also, Anthony Braxton is hardly jazz, but yeah.

So all of his free jazz work isn't jazz, then?

They're structured improvisations, It just depends on who he's playing with, if they have a jazz background it will probably sound like jazz. Anyway, he doesn't consider himself a jazz player.

Anyway, does anyone have pictures of SUNN O)))'s setup, or what they use?

Yeah, see,

I love watching grimacing metalheads, but I'm in the mood for pedalboards right now.

What's the tiny blue one on the bottom of Takeshi's set up?

Nick from tera melos had a yellow one, I wonder if it's the same pedal.

The date is probably Circa - Omar was good aka, he didn't wank to hard, and didnt cover up how bad he was with even more pedals.

On a related note. I too would like to see a Sunn O))) Pedal board or 2. That'd be coooool.
I really like Wata's setup, she sounded so damn good when I saw them at the end of July. Sooooo gooood.

Is it just my personal opinion that Omar's board is probably only effective at producing lots of noise...just based on the way he has his pedals set up?

Did you listen to The Bedlam in Goliath?
Lolz

No but that's kind of how he uses pedals; not to add colour to a part but just to go OMFGGGGG so everyone looks at him. They're an end, not a means to an end, or something.

After watching a whole bunch of live performances of The Mars Volta from recent, I have come to the conclusion that Omar is just really horrible. I know this isn't the place for that talk, but holy shit. His playing is just so bad. It's like he's not even trying anymore. It's often easier to play a shitload of weedly weedly notes and sound impressive than it is to play something meaningful with each note carefully picked and placed. I find the latter to be more impressive and I prefer that side of Omar better. Omar seems to be going for the weedly weedly and it just sounds horrible. Omar and Cedric are my least favorite members of The Mars Volta. That's sad... I don't even consider myself a fan of them anymore.

Rant over.

He? Wata is a girl, if you're talking about Boris. And yeah, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT NO RULES! I mean, they're Japanese. They do what they want.
