rather, i fired everyone that couldn't follow the TWO BASIC RULES WE ALL AGREED ON
1) don't show up high. do that afterwards. otherwise, practice is spent getting high and nothing is accomplished.
2) don't bring your girlfriend
we all were fine with this until one guitar player shows up clearly baked, with his lady. out you go.

now we have two drummers, the other being one i haven't met, and some operatically trained woman who wants to sing for us<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Hmm, me and my bud are generally more creative and play better when we are stoned. Now being drunk is a different story...

well, being stoned is okay, but when we try to like that nothing gets done and it's just three guys standing there getting high while i try to corrall them to playing in unison.

whenever my band gets high for rehearsal we just end up having these crazy amazing 30 min long jams and get completely sidetracked

we are best when after a few lines of blow though...every band should try a coked up rehearsal or live show at least once, shit is bomb

not quite the same thing, but some adderall was passed around during a writing session.

it was the most productive 3 hours ever. i think we wrote like half an album.
to bad that band went no where.

Ah, it always sucks to get a show cancelled, false. Even moreso if you're playing yourself. http://umbilicalblis...tyle_emoticons/default/sad.gif

I jammed with one of my friends today who plays keys and has a couple of beat pads. Did some intense false endings that led into really intense moments after a couple 'endings' with him on my guitar. I hope it goes somewhere. He doesn't know too much about structuring music so hopefully I can learn him a little bit.

I was inspired by the My Bloody Valentine show on Monday, so I got to work again on this big piece of distorted guitars and synths. Layered lots of shit in there, recorded some shitty vocals, and added some more guitar.

Now I have a headache.

if they are not reading music and learning them by rote then it's gonna take some time.

i found all of my bandmates through CL by posting what i wanted to play.

finally got ableton synced up on both mine and my buddies laptop. got a few midi controllers hooked up to the computers and then got some old casios hooked up thru a mixer to a dl4 for some 'twinkly casio loops'. this dude and i have been making electronic music together for a while and have had a project for about two years now. we used to use an mpc and an electribe but with ableton instead goddamn the possibilities seem endless. we got our another show tonight for the first time in years. should be reaal dope, ill post videos and audio if i get the chance to

sounds radical
do it upppp

im about to go play 2 shows tonight
should be intense

Playing some house tonight. First show with my math-rock band. Should be interesting. Trying to write and record some more stuff for this freak/anti/psych-folk thing this week, that I am doing. Also have been recording with my ex-girlfriend and math-rock band mate for a Drone/Noise thing we are doing.
